We're on our way to an Ikea (don't have one in OK) in Texas to pick up the Antilop. How can you not like it for $20?

We have a TV (only in the living/family room) but no cable. It was an adjustment for my husband (college football fan), but he can watch many of the games live from his computer.

I have a rocker in the nursery, but have yet to use it (my son is 3 months old). We nurse mostly on the couch, where I find we can be the most comfortable. If you do decide to use your glider make sure you get an ottoman like betzhi suggested.

I couldn't disagree more. Of course there could be multiple interpretations of this book, but when I read this book I observe a theme that brings to light the importance of conservation. I also read a book that implores us to be less selfish or selfless. As a Christian, I see the tree as Christ and the boy as humankind. Hmmmm, but maybe that's just me.

I have a chest about the same size that we use for a changing table. I was able to fit the changing pad, a small diaper caddy, wipes warmer and a small lamp on top. It's tight but it fits. The top drawer we put extra diapers, diaper cream (etc.) and his onesies. The bottom two drawers we used for his other clothing. It really works well.

Is it over yet?

Many people are saying that the party theme is insensitive and racist (which equates hate), but the most insensitive and hateful part of this post isn't the birthday party. It's the comments from those who pretend to know the intention of the party planner. Can't we believe that she had good intentions? Does anyone really believe that she is racist?

OMGoodness. I can't believe some of the comments on this page. People need to lighten up.

I can't believe the fire storm a themed birthday party has created. I am from Oklahoma (huge Native American or American Indian population) and I have many Native friends. My husband and son are Native American, as well. Not for one moment did I find the birthday party theme offensive and I think most Native people wouldn't. It is a great opportunity to learn about a culture that is part of our country's history.

From reading some of the other posts, I guess that if any race or group of people has faced any type of adversity (which would be every people group on the planet) then that culture is off limits and you are viewed as culturally insensitive or racist if you do otherwise.

I'm from Tulsa and have had the opportunity to frequent the Just Between Friend sale on several occasions. The bargains are amazing and you also get the opportunity to consign your own items. If you have a chance to go to a 'JBF' sale, don't pass it up.

Totally agree. We use a classroom management program at the child development center I work out that runs along the same lines. It's called Conscious Discipline and was created by Dr. Becky Bailey. It's based on the development of a child's brain but also emphasizes the importance of noticing a child (i.e. You slid down the slide and landed on your feet ) rather than judging (i.e. Good job!). It's a very effective program!
