I tried all of the above. A knife cuts a sloppy triangle shape, a tea light holder gets stuck in the fruit and can't scoop out the insides. I used the Candle Carver recently to cut apples as a centerpiece and then poured some chocolate in it and served fondue as dessert and even my low-life critical mother-in-law was impressed and that witch hates everything I do.
