What a shocker - everyone is drooling over the super spare, ultra-mod space. It seems sort of cold and overly edited to me. Where is the life in it? We might as well just call this website moderntherapy. I'm sorry, but it's frustrating sometimes how people lambast someone for having an older-fashioned quilt hanging on the wall, or for using barn-style furniture, or the wrong shade of orange...and then profess their undying love for every entry resembling the interior of a spaceship. I had lunch here last winter on a vacation - the food is average, but the view is STUNNING. It also looks out onto Jungfraujoch, an Alpine peak that is the highest point in Europe. I got my MSL's over the weekend as well, and after flipping through them, I'm going to cancel. Blargh. I know it's personal for everyone, but MSL is far too pretentious for me - I loved Blueprint's offbeat approach. Maybe it was the gardening issue that really put that last nail in the coffin, but I was just BORED with MSL. No thanks, Martha. Maybe this is the farmer in me, but I cringe at the sight of all that firewood sitting around in the fireplace. First off, I think we're all wondering where the heck it goes when they actually want to have a fire. Secondly, isn't that just an invitation for critters of the bug variety to reside? Yuck. i've been (unsuccessfully) trying to make my desk area over for months now - and since i use an old dining table as my work surface, the lack of storage and drawer space is a real issue. i would love this!
