This is Insane!

@ Juliescript: According to you I am one selfish *beep*!! Oh well, hope hell is hott and ready for me!

As a 26 year old female my intent has always been to have children so long as they will be brought into a stable, two parent home. Bottom line, I do not want to be a single mother, but I do want to have and give birth to a child, and that is my right. Just as it is my right to not have children at all, and to not adopt if I simply do not want to.

Personally, I would never want more 7 kids, but if there are parents who can fully provide for them then I'm not going to sit back and throw judgement at them for it, to each their own. It's the parents who are having baby after baby knowing damn well they cannot support them, that is the only time I take issue with it.

I do agree that turning these families into reality tv stars is getting out of hand. But that can be said for all of the crap reality show's that are now, sadly, the norm.

And let's not overlook the fact that they are actually talented!! Kids aside, they do good work and at least the show is based on that and not simply the fact that they have 7 kids and counting... or whatever!

Bottom line, no one has the right to tell any person in this country how many kids they can or cannot have, so get over it.

My rule numero uno is each person should have a bill in their name so each person is responsible for taking care of it - and pay that person with a CHECK! We would always give cash to the person who was in charge of our gas bill (the cheapest bill, mind you) and one day we came home to find a red note taped to the door from the gas company threatening shut off. We were forced to write $7 checks from then on, and made sure to make them out to the gas company directly. And no, she was not a stranger, we grew up together practically... but she had a shopping problem.. and you just never really know someone!

I also agree with clutter thing, I don't care what you do in your room (short of just being nasty dirty) but common areas are off limits for your crap. My roomie would literally leave a trail of stuff to her room as she came in and began to get undressed. When I tripped over her heels that were directly in front of the door and rolled my ankle I was DONE!

Also, just making rules before move in day. Like we had a dishwasher but each of us rarely used many dishes, but one person wanted to be super lazy and run the dishwasher for her cereal bowl and spoon. Things like that should be discussed to avoid some of the unnecessary arguments.

Also, I think everyone discussing how they tend to function is important. Myself and one other roommate were just the types to go in our rooms and shut our doors. Our other roomie was not happy with this and took it personal, as she was the type who wanted to gather in the kitchen and living room every evening and kept her room door open constantly, even when blasting music. Had we discussed all that before hand I have a feeling almost all of the issues we had would have been non-existent.

Phew. Now I remember why I live alone!

@Sarasara: Thanks! I just used clear fishing line, screw hooks and tied knots on each end! The curtains are from Ikea.

@Pechoca: Found this gem of a building in K-Town, it's one of those old hotel buildings with the neon signs you mostly see in Hollywood and Weho!

Living room is great, although there's just one too many chairs for me, but it still looks very nice and still doesn't appear too cluttered.

This. is. like. ahhhhhhh!

Granted, as a female, I'm not sure I couldn't move in without the urge to change a few things, but since that ain't happening I freakin' love it! And I can name quite a few of my male family members who would kill for your place, cars included of course! lol

I also have friends who just moved into their first house, and they were so excited to have me over to see their new sofa. I got there, and it was decent and all, but so incredibly wrong for their space.

It's a big, leather sectional and their room is a small rectangle with only one wall for it to go against in order to not block any doorways. They were just so excited to finally be able to buy a leather sectional because they always wanted one, but they didn't stop to realize it just doesn't fit in their space. And now, of course, they're stuck with it and there's no room for other furniture.

Always measure, always! lol

Yessir! I'm going to be moving from LA to NYC this summer and I have a gorgeous little sofa that I love and was given to me from an old roomie, which means it cost me nothing, and it's one of those sofa's that I won't be able to afford for quite some time (a few thousand).

But, sadly, it's just not practical enough for me to keep and drag across country. It's not super comfy and therefore not great for guests, it only sits about 3 but really only two comfortably, etc. It's really made to be admired in one of those rooms people rarely use, which I will never understand.

So I'm selling it and plan to get a new one at some point, and it will definitely be one that's much more functional for me especially since I'll be spending my money on this one!

Why does it bother if the place is on the market? At least we got to see it before it gets bought and transformed by the new owner, right?

I saw pics of one bedroom, the kitchen and a bathroom so not sure if people are missing those!

Love this place, although the colors are not what I could live with, but it's great no matter! And the kitchen actually seems a tad small for such a large space, but I guess that leaves room for all the other great stuff, lol!

And big props for this very creative couple!!

Hahaha.. this is very entertaining!

And J. Love.. I mean wow, this explains why she has been engaged so many times, the girl is way too caught up on just getting that ring. I think she needs to be reading some books, not writing one!

Oh, and the spray tan thing will always make me, a black girl, laugh out loud - literally. SMH

I love how organized crazy they are.. but everything is so incredibly stark that I'd feel like I need to have hospital corners in every bedroom. Nice to look at though, lol.

For some reason I feel like I'd never get to sleep in this place, but in a good way I guess.. kind of like Pee Wee's playhouse!

I love the navy blue and the gray paint choices. All together it is a bit multiple personality for me, but still nicely done.

@emmelemm: I might not have noticed that black croc kitchen had you not mentioned, but I actually kind of love it! Just not in this space and not with those counter tops.
