The nervous system spiral lamp and Petal rug are lovely. Not crazy about the more "grandmotherly" items though. They don't feel very sophisticated. Adding Texture to a Space |

Hmmm. I've always been a fan of the nesting tables because they can be stacked and put away and have the same elegant flair that this varied table height pairing does. I like that can store easily. It seems the jury is unanimous. A new backsplash, window treatment, and revised cabinet doors should do the trick. But if you also plan to use the kitchen for cooking, I would recommend removing the orphan cabinet and replacing it with some bars and hooks ala ikea's Grundtal system or a peg board and hooks. Nothing facilitates the culinary process like having your tools out in the open. Check out Julia Child's Kitchen at the Smithsonian, for inspiration. How To Inexpensively Update Kitchen? ah you didn't showcase one of my favorite young designers, also showing work at Milan. Max Lipsey. [no I do not work for him] He makes amazing chairs out of racing bike parts, that blows much of this away. Best Young Designer Showcase Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2011 |

I can't really see enough in the pics to answer everything. But for number 2 and 3. Always hang at eye level. Unless you're doing a large grouping of framed pieces on the wall [then center it around eye level]. If you're going to go with the latter. Lay all the pieces you intend to hang on the floor and arrange them until they look balanced and harmonious. Once you have the right "look" for you, you can transfer to the wall without making multiple nail holes. Start with the biggest piece first when hanging. Suggestions For Decorating Living Room?
