Congratulations!! It sounds amazing.

I feel so lucky to live around the corner from my neighborhood Farmers' Market in NYC! Since I belong to a CSA, I tend not to need very much produce. But I regularly buy milk, butter, yoghurt, cheese, juice, eggs and fruit. Sometimes fish or chicken. And almost always, freshly made tamales as a Sunday morning treat.

gorgeous collection! i would love to win these - i'd sort them into little colour collections (such fun!), keeping one and gifting the rest.

Yet another option would be to leave the stain as is on the main part of the piece (I think it looks great) and paint over the lighter part in a high gloss enamel paint (as mentioned by SherryBinNh). But instead of trying to match the wood tone, paint it in a completely different colour - say white, or black, or a bright colour, whatever suits your fancy and works with the room. The contrast between wood and might might look swellegant and modern.
