It would be a tossup between my bedroom and the living room.

So am I to understand that at the end of a long day, one would travel through the outdoors (and perhaps snow or rain) to go to bed? Why am I not getting the amazing in that vision?

Great post, it just crystallized it for me - creating beauty. Very nice.

Stunning. I remember liking other entries, but this one has me starry eyed.

I think that TRUE BLUE hit upon something with the recommendation for the HALLSTA chair. Its wicker material brings together the various wood colors without being too fussy. Good luck.

May I make a suggestion for those who have suffered for years with good quality towels? Charity. Clothing drives accept towels as well and there is nothing wasteful about helping somebody else out.

So let me get this straight - now we shouldn't have labels on the products in our shower? I think I'll stick to looking at the pictures and skipping the comment section here.

Gretchen, perhaps a case of The Emperor's New Rugs? I thought the same thing - nice though.

Congrats to the winners. I guess I'd better get to figuring out how to simplify and clean up my room that I entered then.

To that end, how will you be getting the books promised to the first twenty (unless I misread) entrants to us? My email is in my profile.

Thanks so much and have fun to the winner - can't wait to see the redo.

PS: I would qualify that this is during the "change of season" clothes switch and is even more cluttered. I work pretty much full time, have two children and a dog. Okay, I'll go now because I might be tempted to delete my submission otherwise as I feel rather embarrassed when I look at the photos in public.

I think perhpas my pictures will speak for themselves. I have such angst about getting my house in order. I clean it and make it looks lovely, but for how long? It would be hard to believe judging by my photos that that is ever possible. But that's the issue, my disorganisation and not periodically clearing items that we're not using have taken a toll. So instead of planning great outdoor weekends, I'm often left to the indoors to try to tame the tiger of disarray.

I picture a nice home, comfortable, lived in, but organized!!! If I could only get somebody to help me get on track, I know that I could be on the road. I'm a good student, but a terrible implementer.

Won't you help me please?

Thanks so much for even considering.

Okay, I just have to ask it - organized parent or homicidal maniac? Are the little darlings trained to walk around the saws hanging in picture 2 or 3?

My favorite color is green. I wasn't aware that it had always been until I looked back in my memory and saw my sister and me in our matching green corduroy jackets with leopard print collar and matching pillbox hats with the button on top also in leopard. On to my third grade class trip and my green pantsuit that I wore. So green. Not a green with envy green, but a green of nature in every beautiful shade. Grey-green, blue green, I love them all - winter, spring, summer, fall. Also the color of my son's eyes and that's love to me. That's my favorite color. Green.

Thank you for that reminder HRH Princess Fiona! THe movie is Ushpizin and really got great reviews. I'll have to add it to my Nextflix because I don't know why, but I haven't seen it. So thank you.

The link above is a good one to explain the holiday. I did comment earlier, but wanted to clear up any misconceptions for this company and their sukkah. It is being marketed (as I thought) as a portable sukkah. If you are very strictly observant, you will eat all of your meals in a sukkah during this holiday which lasts eight days. To fulfill this mitzvah (or commandment) might be difficult if you were to travel somewhere where there was not a sukkah. Having this travel version would answer that concern for those wishing to only eat in a sukkah during this time.

That's my non-expert input and we still stand by our tried and true family tradition of cursing and yelling :) From a personal level, it is a wonderful holiday to celebrate and the kids enjoy putting up and decorating our sukkah each year.

We prefer the fine family tradition of cursing and yelling at one another as we build ours. Actually this looks quite nice. Sorry to have missed that street fair.
