if you can afford to do so, head to europe. especially in september. flights are the lowest they've been in years. heading to greece this august. last years plans were squashed when the price of flights crept up to almost $1500. this year - $800.

this is just a first shot at a layout. It's hard to tell if the dresser would work arranged like this without know the real dimensions of the windows, how far down that wall they come, etc.

You seem to have a lot of random chairs in your room. I sorta ignored those in the floor plan an would suggest instead getting a nice arm chair or lounger/rocker.

There's a long letter in this month's dwell writen by Jay and Frank Novak from modernica about the new fiberglass chairs, very interesting. also nice to know that they will soon be offering chairs made from recycled fiberglass.

I tried Swheat Scoop and it definitely has some benefits for those living in small spaces. The ability to flush it was the reason why i bought it, save the trip out to the dumpster to toss the cat poopy bag every night. I never had a problem with it flushing, didn't seem to cause any blockages.

The main problem was that my cat had diabetes so she peeped too often and too much to use this letter. It was really wet and heavy and gave off a gross sour yogurt smell. I think I would have preferred the ammonia smell.

It seems like if you had a small (healthy) cat and you were a fastidious litter box cleaner it would work out well for those concerned with using a more harsh litter.
