This is such a refreshing sight to see! Well done, Elisa! Your hard work was worth it. That's a stunning piece of furniture!

I live in a rental devoid of just about any character and that I'm not allowed to paint or make any changes to. Taking off the cabinet doors to one of my upper cabinets was the best thing I ever did for my super boring kitchen. I love it! http://www.flickr.com/photos/yourjuliet/6281909342/in/set-72157626452540991/ It seems much more "me" now that I can wake up every morning and see all my nice dishes on display.
Not to mention, one of my main reasons I did this was because that cabinet it near impossible to reach and get at without the doors off. So it was win-win.

Very cool. I'm not big on chevron myself, but the idea is pretty nifty.

I'm not really a big pink person either, but these are all beautiful. I LOVE the 3rd one; it's just the vibrant punch of colour that space needed.

A little grand for my personal tastes, but I have to say their floors are GORGEOUS. I'm drooling looking at that beautiful herringbone wood floor, and the tiled marble on in the dining room. Wowzers. Wish I could afford that...

My brother (who lives around the block) has my spare key. Though to be honest, I'm more worried about him losing the spare than I am me losing the main key. ;)

I LOVE this! I'm a huge Scrabble junkie too. (Best game ever, right? Oh, the hilarity that always ensues. My friends/family always cheat and we like to make up silly words.) I've got more art than I know what to do with in my current apartment, but I'm saving this for someday when I get a bigger place. GREAT idea.

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I kind of like it! It's fun, it's unique, and I really like the mismatched colours.

Big fan of black lamp shades. I have 3 throughout my apartment, 1 of which I just picked up this afternoon. (http://flickr.com/photos/yourjuliet/6103410283) What a timely post, indeed. ;D

Would have loved to see more of the space, too, instead of 3 vignettes. But what little we can see is pretty darn rad. Like that glittery dinosaur. That makes me so happy, you don't even know. ROCK ON.

Cute! If I didn't have a keychain with about 10 other keys on it as well, I'd be all over this.

Might be a neat way to take a "souvenir" of your home with you when you move though?

As a black/white obsessee, LOVE it. Though I think the striped sofa at the foot of the bed is a bit "loud" (I would have done it in a solid), but otherwise, I think this is very lovely. Any guest would be lucky to hang there!

Both look fantastic! Well done, guys. I'm partial to the 2nd (since I love pink and am not a big green fan), but both transformations are fantastic!

I think it's kind of cool! Reminds me a bit of a ship. (I guess that's the ropes talking, yes?) I agree the bottom posts do take away from the overall though. I think perhaps if they added another piece of wood/shelf sitting on top of the posts to cover over where all the rope is tied up it would look a little more polished. :)

I suppose you could call me an obsessive mover as well. I've lived in I think 13 or 14 places in my life (only 23 years old), and about 8 of them in the last 6 years. Pretty ridic. So I feel like this is something I should read!

Grocery store is really all I need. Other things would be great, but as long as I can get food, I'm dandy.
