I LOVE this room...obviously I'm not the first to say it. I just can't seem to put together a bedroom that feels soothing and finished...Seems like I care too much and can't make decisions! Love your space! Thanks for the wall color as well...I've been thinking about Revere Pewter and it's really nice to see it in a room! Sarah's Perfect Place Bedroom My Bedroom Retreat Contest |

These look delicious. I recently made a slightly different version, and although the blossoms were still fried - the dish ended up feeling very light. Here's a link to the post I wrote on our dish! Enjoy! Summer Recipe: Three Cheese-Stuffed Squash Blossoms The Cheesemonger |

I've been drooling over the black matte countertops in picture 3...can anyone tell me what the material is/where to find it/approximate cost...? We have black granite countertops, but there too modern for my taste...the black matte is a little more farmhouse, rustic. Add Color to Your Kitchen Even if Your Backsplash is Tiled The Color Cure |

We have a home-made sous vide set-up and it is wonderful. Although the method may not make your mouth water when thinking about it, I think many people would be surprised to learn how many restuarants are using this technology - it means that it is very difficult to overcook a piece of meat, which becomes extremely important for the more expensive cut. Fish cooks very quickly and flat Iron steaks come out as tender and more flavorful than a filet mignon. I wasn't a believer (it was all my husband's idea) until the first bite. That, and you don't have to turn on the oven or stove in the summer! Big plus. Take a look at our duck confit sous vide... High Tech at Home: What Is Sous Vide Cooking? |

I'm confused - in the dining room, you're saying that ideally you want 24 inches between each chair...two whole feet...? I could then only fit 1 chair on each side of my table...and 7 inches between the arm of the chair and the underside of the table seems a bit much as well. Am I reading this wrong...? Yes and no. Most home cooks on a daily basis do not need to know exactly how to make all of the mother sauces - however, I believe it is extremely important to have an understanding of the basics - which includes not only skills and techniques but base recipes to build off of. When I rented (last year) $1550 for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 800 sq foot ugly condo in Pasadena...and it was a good deal. I sometimes long for the more suburban, rural, middle america rent...but unfortunately...it's just not an option. Survey: How Much Is Your Monthly Rent or Mortgage? |

I love this list. As someone who constantly battles against clutter and maintaining a space that doesn't feel messy...these are truly things I could implement in my life without a major overhaul of habits. the 15 minute whirlwind de-clutter is a great idea...it's what normally happens right before having people over anyway...and it would feel good to have the place look like that just for us, and not only when guests are coming over.
