making settlement tomorrow on a 2 bedroom condo. i downsized from a house on the east coast 4 years ago-gave away everything-moved to bay area for 2 years-lost large portion of nestegg(semi retired) now my first condo back east-bay area too expensive. nothing helps the slimming down of possessions like a move. things, so many things, but we do love our stuff. but from experience how pleasing to have just a small amount of things around us. good luck to all. obi

oh i love barbara's calm room. i am new to the bay area from the east coast and am in heaven weather wise. i take my dog for a walk and am amazed that the birds are already singing courting songs and many plants and trees are already blooming and budding. if you call a few weeks of rain winter i'll take it!!. i've bought irises and tulips the past few weeks and feeling so lucky to be having spring fever in february. back in philadelphia the only fever we had this early in the year was from the flu.

beautiful shots as always matt. just this week for the first time in ages i bought a bunch of tulips. they last a really long time and even look quite graceful as they fade. i put just a few in two different vases and one on my desk in a bud vase. very satisfying. they remind me of ballet dancers for some reason.

i'm happily settling in to my new apartment in redwood shores ca. i have a view of the bay and i'm finding it difficult to leave it to see all the bay area sights. it feels like home so completely that although it's been just a week i am truly relaxed. priceless... obi.

hi all. if you've been a long time at reader i've found a place in the bay area to move. to recap. i sold my home in philadelphia 6 months ago and moved near a friend in sacramento. now i'm ready to take the next step to the bay area. anyone from around sacramento know of a good mover to get my stuff to san francisco(the peninsula actually). i must be crazy to be moving again so soon but that's beside the point! obi.
