I am surprised by this post : for me it is normal and always better to cook a steak in a skillet ; all the best cooks in the world use a skillet, never a grill, even with a lot of customers. Grills are good for fast-foods, family restaurants or cafeterias, and barbecues for week-ends, but if you want a really, really good steak, it's with a skillet or an oven.

I don't understand why people want to replace paper: nowadays it is far more good for the environment to use paper from sustainably managed forests than to buy many expensive machines with a lot of polluting elements in them, especially when they come from poor countries with a lot of rare metals like in Africa.

For me it is a green turnip, with the same pink color on one end and leaves on the other end.
You should taste one to be sure! :)

Very good meditation, but something bothers me : why is the cook a woman? "She works with the elements"...The rest of the article, though, is really food for thought.

I am French, I love cooking and I love this advice! She is right about everything. I use a very good knife from Sabatier K (french brand in Auvergne, right in the middle of France) and ever since I never cry because of an onion and I can chop very thin slices of tomatoes. Thank you also for your wonderful website, very inspiring!
