That sounds like one of the million-and-one variations on "puppy chow." It's basically chocolate (and peanut butter, if you like) melted and poured over a combination of crunchy stuff like Chex cereal, popcorn, pretzels, or whatever you like. I make and freeze stock when I have the leftovers to do so. It seems wrong to let them go to waste. I don't purpose-make stock for a specific dish, though. Besides, I've usually got some stockpiled in the freezer. Homemade Soup Stock: How Far Would You Go? |

Hot, sudsy tap water works for me. And then I put the mostly-clean candle holder in the dishwasher. I've never had a problem with the residual wax getting on the other dishes. Maybe your dishwasher isn't heating the water up enough? Oops! Never Put Candle Holders in the Dishwasher! |
