My beloved aunt had the most wonderful fuscia velvet drapes custom-made in the 1970s - to go along with her deep plush, apple green LR carpet. She was a bold woman ... before her time. Those drapes hang in my bedroom with chocolate walls and white bedding. I remember my Auntie Molly every time I look at the beautiful draperies! pics here http://peacefulones.blogspot.com/2012/03/lent-day-10-thankful-for-auntie-molly.html Fun and Fearless: Fuchsia for Interiors |

I think social experiments like this are really interesting. Humans are endlessly inventive (and often those who aren't like to watch/support those who are). Thanks for posting. Mark Malkoff Lived on a Plane for 30 Days |

YAY YAY! We read our children his twisted ABZ book and they loved it. Though no one tried to make their little fortune by taking out all their teeth for the tooth fairy. Whew. Thanks for this update. Every Thing On It Shel Silverstein |

Check if the BBC Muzzy series is in Mandarin as well. Good 3 levels for kids (and parents!) That's how we learned basic spanish - comes with text. We spoke German (our heritage language) at home, but also hired French babysitters and asked them to speak only French to the children. So our kids are fluent in a few languages but know the sound of a few others, in case they need to learn a language. Good luck! Advice for Learning a Second Language as a Family Good Questions |

Yup - you'll save money within a week or two... they're not that expensive. I just leave a bit in the bottom of the jars, refill with plain soy milk (Costco brand), shake or stir, put them back into the yogurt maker for the day, then into the fridge at night. On days you only use a small container, you can do the same by leaving the refilled jar on a warm shelf or counter for 12 hours. Then refrigerate. ENJOY Should I Buy a Yogurt Maker? Good Questions |

I bought 3 sizes of glass jars from a Seattle company a few years ago: cost me $150 for 200+ jars and lids, so not exactly free. But it's been a great investment: we store tea, spices, small amounts of grains, etc. in them. I downloaded (free) labels. Fantastic, one-time purchase, used for storage but also to give away mixes of spices (gifts), and look great in my cupboards. Best Small Space Grocery and Food Storage Tips Roundup |
