I will twelfth the Pepcid AC recommendation. Unfortunately I had to learn this from my little sister and totally missed knowing this through high school and college. I'll also let you know that it seems to decrease over time. My mom seems to have outgrown it. You might also monitor if there are any food/drink combinations that help. Buy them individually. Since you can't sharpen a serrated knife easily on your own, think of bread knives as semi-disposable. Don't spend more than $25 on them. I also don't recommend a wood block for storing knives, they store bacteria as well as knives, and I've heard that they can dull the knives as you bring them in and out of the block. A total dump one block up from Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz. Grass was growing through the walls, but I could easily justify getting in the water for 20 minutes because I was so close. Tell Us: What Was The Best Rental You've Ever Had? |

Geez, first day back from maternity leave and I'm already procrastinating. One more thing...think about spreading out the food if the parents are both going back to work. I can't imagine cooking dinner when I get home, and we've run through our stock of food from the birth or it's freezer burned by now. A great surprise would be if someone dropped off dinner tonight. To push a different version of nutella--Justin's makes a hazelnut chocolate nut butter that is amazing. It's not nutella, but there is waaaaay less sugar in it. Like, less than jam. I hate designed trees like some people hate the karate chopped pillow. That being said, my sister does a hilarious tree every year. One year was doll heads, another year it was circus themed. Holiday Decor: Traditional vs. Trendy |

I wanted one of these so bad as a little girl. I'm really tempted to get it for my daughter so I can play with it. This and a remote control car were things I asked for year after year, but never received. Tell Us...the Best Gifts for Toddlers? |

A word of advice to not overload the kitchen. My daughter ended up with a ridiculous amount of food, pots and pans, and was totally overwhelmed. She just moved all her stuff around, rather than actually playing with the kitchen. We ended up putting 2/3 of the things in a box. Ideas for Stocking the Play Kitchen |

A chef friend and food safety nut always stressed to buy kitchen items with as few seams as possible in order to keep things clean and make them last as long as possible. Stainless items are particularly good for this. I try to follow his rule whenever possible, and it hasn't failed me yet. the stuff that always breaks has plastic handles or weird rivets. I also recommend lansinoh (the nipple cream stuff for nursing). Cal. baby starting stinging my daughter's rash, but the lansinoh washes out in hot water, doesn't have anything in there that stings and is a seriously thick water barrier. Definitely! It takes the kale from being crunchy and bitter to soft and infused with the dressing. I'm less likely to do it with lacianto kale than other types, though. Massaging Raw Kale for Salads: Awesome... or Just Dumb? |
