Thank you, bejeweled! I have two glass bottles on the window sill that you can't even see. I should have put flowers in them! Jennifer's Exposed Brick Studio Small Cool Contest |

Thank you, sprayfaint! I really appreciate your compliment. I live in your old 'hood; I love that I don't hear any street noise from my apartment. It is very quiet around here. Jennifer's Exposed Brick Studio Small Cool Contest |

Bellsonhopi, thank you! I really appreciate your comment. I am on the Upper East Side, which has a lot of alcove studios. In my case, the alcove is not quite big enough for a full size bed, and even if it were a little bit wider, I like having space for two night stands. A.C., thank you! I found my apt. on craigslist and did not have to pay a broker fee because the ad was posted by the previous tenants who wanted to break their lease. The walls were filthy and need to be painted, but everything else was in good shape before I moved in. It took me 6 months to find my apt, but it was well worth the wait because everything else was either too expensive, too small, or just not what I was looking for. I a comfortable space in my budget in the neighborhood that I wanted. Sending you positive apartment vibes! Jennifer's Exposed Brick Studio Small Cool Contest |

Thank you so much, MIdwestdiva! I bought gold Indian fabric to put above my bed, partly to create a more defined bedroom area, and partly as a feng shui cure to cover the beam above my bed, which is considered bad luck. I really tried to get a larger photo of my bathroom, but because it is TINY, I wasn't able to get a good angle of the shelving and the artwork reflected in the mirror. It is an all-white bathroom, with mint green bath mat and black and white tile for the flooring. Jennifer's Exposed Brick Studio Small Cool Contest |

Hi Virginia, yes I have a full-size bed, which is slightly too wide for the alcove. I have thought of making my office a guest space with a twin day bed, but it is nice to have a work space separate from my sleep area. Jennifer's Exposed Brick Studio Small Cool Contest |

Hi lolagirl, I thought of putting my bed in the alcove, but it was a bit too small. Also, the bed would have faced the door, which is bad feng shui. I believe in feng shui and have tried to arrange my apt according to some of the basic principles. Jennifer's Exposed Brick Studio Small Cool Contest |

Thanks, Martha. I went to the lumber yard about 10 blocks from my apt and bought a very cheap piece of wood that fit so tightly, I didn't even need a bracket to hold it up! Jennifer's Exposed Brick Studio Small Cool Contest |

This is gorgeous. I love how you can fit a full living room - not just a sofa, but a great chair as well - and not feel overcrowded at all. Very elegant, simple and hip. Super fab apartment! Small Cool 2010: Lindsay's Little Box Teeny-Tiny Division #3 | Apartment Therapy New York |
