I would go for a warmer and lighter colour, more in the direction of cream or magnolia (if you like a pinkish hue) in order to create a sense of warmth and space. As you have a lot of stuff which makes the room seem smaller, a darker colour will visually shrink the room even more.

If you do choose a darker colour, try to work with the lighting (uplights and lit corners) to improve the sense of space and light. A warm pink will work, as will a lime green. Unlike many here, I think the eggplant colour will make the room poky.

I would only recommend grey units if you paint the walls in a much lighter colour, although I do think the grey and white will look fab with the red. I would also recommend very light curtains in a warm white, and I think the curtain rods would look better in white.

If you elect to keep the wall colour, I would recommend a warm, white colour with a drop of black - maybe S1005-Y or something thereabouts. It will lighten everything up and make it more modern! Loose the blinds and add a few red accent pieces and a big plant or some herbs somewhere, to make it come more alive. Good luck!

I like #3 the best although I wouldn't have chosen those chairs and it all looks a little too much like a hotel lobby. The first one is fun, but a little too constructed to be an actual home. #2 is way too cutesy & again constructed for me!
Generally, I find the interiors to be less about making good and personal living spaces and more about constructing stages for photo shoots.
