I have bay windows in my bedroom and was recently inspired because of a house tour at AT to move my bed to be parallel-ish to the windows (though my inspiration was a daybed underneath windows). I set my headboard against the bit of western wall that exists before the start of the windows. Previously I had my bed in an area that is now more of a walk in closet. I love that I no longer feel squished. I didn't realize how much I disliked my set up before until I was able to experience this new arrangement. It feels so luxurious, waking up with angled windows around me. Plus making the bed is so much easier now! When summer comes and I'm without air conditioning it will be helpful to be so near the windows and right now I don't find myself too chilly since my bed is not touching any of the windows. Also, thanks for the additional tips, Adrienne. Good to consider what more I can do!

So crisp and cheery at the same time. Like others have said, you make me love white again.

KBFROMLB, thanks for sharing your similar experience with color/lighting/photographing, in a nice way (and helping those of us who thought the pictures weren't accurate)! I stand corrected.

What a fine editor of space you are! Very sophisticated style, but at the same time, also warm. The only thing I didn't get was the picture frames leaning by the bed. It felt a little, 'not quite moved in yet.' But I was fine with the effect in the bathroom, because it wasn't on the floor.

I just want to give your apartment a hug! Even the bathroom is inspired.

This probably would have gotten my vote if the pictures hadn't been altered. Color can really make or break a place, so I don't feel like I can truly tell what it looks like...

Really nice apartment from what I can tell, however, I would have liked to see more than just one of the indoor rooms, since there are three others we don't see...

Wish we could have a picture of the kitchen area and how it works with the office area and the main room instead of two pictures of the ottoman/briefcase. But overall I really like it.

Love the fun color and decor, AND all the little framed art collections! Now I can point to your place as an example when my friends say you don't NEED another little piece of art in your room. Anyway, well done!

I have never liked a loft more! Usually the look feels too cold and too modern (or sterile, so I'm biased), but yours is so warm, and the details are so interesting and well placed. Great job!

Somehow I missed this entry in the first round. Love it! I'm usually not a fan of sparse decoration and so much white, but I can't help but change my mind when looking at what you have done!

It shows that you love your living room. Heck, I love your living room! So you got my vote. Something about the bedroom seems off though...the combination of the headboard and the rug?

You take some good pictures! Not only is your space well decorated- though very different than what I normally go for, but the angles you use in taking the pictures add depth (this is missing in many of the the other small cool submissions)!

I second cbeatty23's comment. Usually, it's easy to pick out my favorite room from an entry, but I can't do it with yours. It's all so airy, and old-time romantic (except for the bean bag!). Good luck!

Love those colors, and they are bold without overpowering the small space!

I love the color and style of this place! However, I would have traded one of the living room pics, and one of the bedroom pics for a a pic of the bath and kitchen.

VERY cute. As for your biggest challenge answer, you are preaching to the choir! Sadly, none of my friends struggle with this and therefore roll their eyes every time I bring home another unique, antique chair (four antique ice-cream chairs are sitting on my back porch), piece of wall art, or lamp. A couple years ago I finally started editing though, and it shows. Looks like you have gotten a handle on it too!

Also, I love the colors in your bedroom. What paint colors did you use?

A lot of dark colors, but it's far from looking depressed, heavy, or cave like. Also, the horizontal stripes in the living room carry "the look" from nice to sharp!
