my brother calls me a neat freak- but really, i just like to clean and have things around me in order (smelling nicely, of course!) i have a little dog, who makes messes all the time, mostly just tracking in dirt and hair and stuff... so she is a perfect candidate to try out all of the wonderful method (tm) products with me, so we can make the world clean together! (rather, she can make a mess, and i can run behind her with non-toxic cleaning solutions and make everything sparkingly clean again!)... besides, let my brother be right for once, i'd love to be labeled a neat/clean freak (just in this context!) seems like you have 2 fireplaces... i'd do something to either break up the space into two separate "rooms", differentiated by function and way that the fireplace is treated... i wonder how long you are planning to stay in this apartment- find pieces that you love, and want to live with for a long time, rather than basing longer-term decisions on brick walls that may not be a design issue a while down the road... Seventh generation makes dishsoap in nice scents, in a biodegradeable container (available at Fairway), and not too expensive... we decant it into a prettier container--- also, the dishsoap itself isnt colored, which i really like, since the coloring is all totally artificial anyway :) Good Products: Squeeze Bottles and Watered Down Soap |

i too love orla kiely! (she should have a fan club on this site!) her use of color and print is often unexpected, playful and fab! i am going to london later this summer, and i am so excited to go to the flagship store... this post was a great way to interpret much of her work on a budget!
