Hate taxidermy; love the striped living room rug and the coffee table. I had a rug similar to that once, and it became discolored so quickly it scared me off forever.

I just did that to my bed. I found a gorgeous piece of dark blue batik fabric and used it as a sort of slipcover on my wood headboard; it looks fantastic. Very inexpensive solution, and I can switch it up very easily.

Not sure if I'd do it, I guess it would depend on the circumstances. When I was in college, there was a horrible murder in a beautiful house very near the Stanford campus (husband killed his wife). As soon as the story hit the papers, people started inquiring about the house and if it was for sale yet...asking price...when could they see it, etc. The house sold very fast, and for a substantial price. All must have gone well with the new owners; I never heard about anything negative with the home.

My very first computer was a Blueberry iMac in 2000. LOVED it. Still miss it; never should have sold it.

How is it anyone's business whether you own or rent? How rude of your friends, and anyone else who would make similar statements. What you do with your money, and how you live is your concern. How utterly obnoxious!
