A cafe around the corner from my apartment has lots of Tom Dixon pendants in different shapes, sizes and heights. I have seen similar cabinets to the ones in picture 3 here in Norway too, I think they were popular in in the late 70s or early 80s? The reason I recognized it as an American kitchen (other than the fridge) is the stove. I think American stoves look so odd since they are deeper than the cabinets so they stick out a few centimeters in the front instead of being flush with the cabinets. Not a good look IMO. Also the thing that sticks up in the back (sorry, I have no idea what they are called) were last seen on stoves here in Norway in the 1960s. I was so surprised when I started reading interior design blogs and saw them on even brand new American stoves in new kitchens! Mid-century? Are the 70s mid-century now? That kitchen (except for the furniture) is pure 1970s. My mum had a almost similar floor in her kitchen (until she moved 3 years ago!). The respatex-table is the exact same one she had. She had that sofa too, hers was a sofa-bed she bought for her first studio apartment circa 1967. It was the same color and style except that hers didn't have a pattern. It was in the guest bedroom in our house and it was the worlds most uncomfortable furniture, both as a sofa and as a bed! Ohhhh, so many of the shades on the Delia shades site are gorgeous! They would look perfect in my new apartment. I have been looking for and thinking about window treatments for a month, and haven't found anything I love before these. I just ordered a coffee table for my new apartment and it's very similar to the last one (the one by Carolina Rustica). The stores here in Norway all have versions similar to that one and the one by Restoration Hardware. I see a lot of those tables in real estates ads that have used stylists too. Both the apartment I bought and the one I sold had that type of table. It's probably going to be very dated in a few years, but I don't care since I really liked it. The Danish magazine Boligmagasinet has a gorgeous yellow kitchen on their cover this month. @amessen , it's probably vintage. I checked the printed version of Sköna Hem and they don't mention where it's from. This building used to be a school and the shelf with hooks looks very much like the type they have in schools (or at least had when I went to school...).
