hands down, my favorite slow-cooker recipe is this pulled-pork from real simple. i've been making this for years now, and i'm still always surprised at how good it is for hardly any effort. seriously, SOOO delicious. for the "store bought salsa" ingredient, i use 1 cup of goya brand pico de gallo hot and 1 cup mild, which makes it perfectly spicy and perfectly inexpensive. you can use the pork for tacos, sandwiches, or just over rice. DO IT! here's the link:

this will go down as one of my favorite posts ever. so many things i love... faulkner, the south, historic places, the closeness and love that can only be experienced in the kitchen. thank you so much for making the extra effort to get in there and share it with us.

it's so perfect i can't stand it! clean, warm, open. aesthetically perfect perfect perfect.

i just have a few questions: what is the overall square footage now, and about how many people do you think you can fit in your kitchen comfortably? where do you think is the best place to buy stainless steel kitchen furniture (like the shelves and coffee stand in your pantry)? thank you!

i wish i knew these three things when i first began cooking for myself:
[1] garlic is not the seasoning answer to every savory dish.
[2] the simple perfection and infinite uses of balsamic vinegar.
[3] the delight and surprise experimenting with nuts and/fruits in salads can bring.
