Pajamas! I've unfortunately had several hospital stays and having my own clothes helped immensely. Even a bathrobe or cardigan wear over a hospital gown can make a big difference.

I LOVE this show!! I kind of want Irene Adler's living room too.

So I have a dilemma that fits right in with this article - how do people recommend dealing with a decorative item that has personal value but also looks incredibly trendy? I just inherited a portrait of some of my older relatives painted by an artistic family friend. I love the painting and it's well done, but displaying it makes me feel so self conscious knowing that vintage amateur portraits seem to be having a trendy moment. Any thoughts, AT readers?

I love dollhouses! I don't let myself collect miniatures because I'm sure it would get out of control really fast, but I like to collect pictures of the miniatures I would buy :) There was a fun article in the New York Times last month on this topic: A Hobby Best Kept Small

Wow! This is beautiful. I've got a similar lighting problem - how did you go about getting the custom wire? I would love to be able to do something similar.

I also vote for bringing back the match-ups. Besides being a more exciting contest format, I like that the match-ups give some of the great non-finalists recognition. Jordan would have gotten my vote regardless, but there were so many entries I liked (ALL tiny and teeny-tiny, I thought the bigger spaces were kind of blah this year). It seems a shame to have hundreds of spaces and then only vote on four.

Oh, and I hope we still get a full tour of Michael's space. And Catherine's 1920s studio. And Shelby's. And Sandy's. And...ok, I'll stop.

I think this house is really fun! It's trendy, yes, but it has the feeling (to me, at least) of someone working a trend she likes into her home rather than decorating based on the current trend. And I'm a firm believer in not avoiding things you like just because they happen to be trendy at the moment.
