I tend to prep before I buy my paint, then I dont jump the gun on my prepwork.

I go buy my prep supplies and find a couple of paint chips or samples i want to decide on, and by the time I'm finished prepping i know what paint to get.

I am a taper, white masking tape sucks. I highly recommend the blue masking tape, easy to put down, easy to see, and comes off in one piece.

Now someone needs to post some resources of where to get kooky loud wallpapers like in this movie. I watched this movie with my old roommate. I loved the sets, especially the art deco-esque wallpapers at the climax of the movie.

My mom swears by her Betty Crocker Cookbook from her grandmother. And I occasionally use an edition of Better Homes and gardens which belonged to my great-grandmother and my grandmother. The only thing about these old recipes is I often have to retool them for my vegetarian husband. But I really like the sections on how to entertain and to set tables for different events. The etiquette section is always fun to read too.

I really enjoy California Baby Bug Repellent Spray with Citronella, its about $14 - but this stuff smells so good- with bergamont and citronella, and it truly keeps the bugs at bay.

I make sure my cushions are vinyl (not very green, but I'm reusing what I have), the real retro (my great-grandma's furniture, circa 1970) ones I keep under an awning. I know the only reason I have such nice vintage outdoor furniture with the original cushions is because my great grandma kept it out of the sun and weather. I am making some vinyl cushions (waterproof) for my seats on my unprotected deck. I am using grandma's retro vinyl table cloth and some old foam I had laying around the house, so if the sun and other elements ruin them I won't feel too bad. I try not to take too many things outside that I wouldn't be too upset if they were taken or be ruined.

this was not very enlightening.... unless you are a celeb follower... I can tell you whats in my fridge, i think its much more interesting than wheat germ and buttermilk (lol).

What a crazy little contraption! Personally,the handle would become a mess, because if I am reaching for some paper towels my hands need to be wiped. I do like the idea of the foil and wax paper (possibly press and seal holder. To remedy the nicking yourself on a blade, hacking one of those little glider blades for cutting to replace the long toothed blade, could be a possibility.

I am drooling, I love the orange swirly one.... these rugs really appeal to the senses... the colors and textures. I would love to feel some of these... too bad they don't make a browser plug in for that yet.
