i'd like to know who conjures up the mediocre titles for these pieces?
'another white room' would suffice.

have always wondered why small space dwellers insist on so many tables/desks for different tasks. it eats up far too much valuable space.
my own solution is to either chop down or make a table that is about 24"-26" in height to use with living room furniture...it serves as a work space, dining table & coffee table.

the addition of casters make it even more functional.

when did any idiotic phrase that one can utter become 'art'?
like bumper stickers, i do not understand the need to display 'personal philosophies' to the world.
they aren't cute, they're annoying as chevrons.

to my eye, it looks unfinished.
the sofa is floating out in space along with the table.
it needs a BIG rug to anchor the whole arrangement.

a warm paint color would also help immensely.

new ideas...
seems as if everyone read your post as 'vote'...

the centrifugal method of decorating doesn't pass muster. ever.
always more interesting to float some furniture, create an intimate conversation area.
nix the two matchy chairs. they might be affordable, but not interesting.
everyone knows where you got them. one is bad, two are worse.

hit tag sales, craigslist & come up with a chair that has some good bones, interesting lines & reupholster in something totally opposite & you're on your way.

a round or oval table will help to soften the angularity.

yah...take down the wall.
make an addition of glass.
move.
move back.
please paint the walls the same charcoal as the stairs, or a shade thereof to let that wonderful light fixture really shine.
use some sort of giant rope/nautical bannister, because something mundane will just not cut it.
