I myself have a blackthumb too but I love giving orchids to my friends who move into a new home as a housewarming gift. It goes with all home designs, needs minimal care and the flowers lasts for months! Instant Decorating: Add an Orchid |

I am from Malaysia and it is a very humid and warm country. I think the owner did a good job with the shelves but he may want to put the caps on for the legs of the shelves before it becomes moldy or start to rot as he may once in a while wash the bathroom floor and it will take time to dry with the high humidity.
