You can find nice looking rockers that are incredibly more comfortable. I found an upholstered '50s rocker that I reupholstered for our nursery. I also own the Eames (knock-off) rocker that is in our living room. I also can testify that people only sit in the chair when it's the last available seat. I don't mind sitting in it when we're playing a game with friends or something, where I'm not trying to get comfortable. Modern Nursery Classic: The Eames Rocker |

You must use high quality yarn and modern colors, then they are perfect for a nursery in today's design world. :) As far as keeping you warm goes, it's not meant to be used as the only cover on a bed or something. Just to throw on your lap if you're a bit chilly, or to lay down for your kiddo to play on (in this case, probably). Crochet Chic: Granny Blankets in Kids Rooms |

I had the same trouble with the felt pads falling off of our Gilbert chairs. We bought the kind at the hardware store, like some of the commenters are suggesting, and they just kept falling off. I think they might have been too thick, in combination with the adhesive not being strong enough to withstand the sliding of the chairs from out and under the table. So, what I did was cut small circles out of wool felt, much thinner than the kind they sell for chairs. Then I used gorilla glue and actually glued them on, instead of relying on adhesives that don't stick. Good luck! Prevent IKEA Gilbert Chairs from Scratching Floors? Good Questions |

Jess, no worries- I wasn't offended. I just too often see people on the internet dismissing the importance of giving credit to people who work hard to create original ideas. Often I hear people say they found a recipe on Pinterest, when in actuality it was a blogger who developed the idea. You see what I mean? I just like to see creators credited with their ideas as often as we like to use them. :) Best Kids Parties: Sunshine My Party |

I love the teepees, but I clicked through to the comments to see if anyone had started arguing about the appropriateness of (heaven forbid!) using teepees outside of an educational resource to teach about American Indian heritage. Of course, I was not disappointed. I'm glad to read that most of the commenters have good heads on their shoulders, though. :) Beach Umbrella Alternative: Teepee Love |

I plan on using a couple of smaller paint by numbers in our baby's nursery that I'm currently planning. I think they are the perfect style for a kiddo's room, and perfect if you want to add an old-school vibe. Paint By Number Artwork in the Nursery |

It's very lovely! It would be nice, though, if you credited the actual people or organizations whose ideas were posted to Pinterest, instead of just crediting Pinterest. That's kind of like crediting Google for the ideas you found after using their search engine. Best Kids Parties: Sunshine My Party |

To those who are opposed to the idea of the houndstooth on the replica Eames recliner, the owner is my brother and he actually already has a nice one upholstered in leather. He felt that his house was needing more pattern, and he didn't want to put patterned fabric on his sofa, so the chair seemed like a nice smaller piece to change up. This chair really adds a quirky touch to his mostly solid-color-decorated-living-room and everyone who visits just loves it. Rescued & Revived: Upholstered Furniture Before & Afters Best of 2011 |

I'll admit, I clicked through just to read the comments. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention the post that got my brother so many comments. His girlfriend didn't think it was as funny as the rest of us, for some reason. :) House Tour Hotties Best of 2011 |

I like the idea of leaving up twinkle lights in an outdoor patio area. But I can't help but think back to my days in interior design school when my professor cautioned us to make sure we had a nice variety of intimate lighting sources in our interiors, less the end user really screw it up by hanging stringed lights or something. :) Heaven forbid! (For the record, I do have some lights hanging up in my apartment. But I will never tell my professor.) Keep the Glow Going: Twinkle Lights Year-Round |

@ niabassett If you look at the bottom of the post, there is a link to Matt's house tour, where you can not only see the kitchen, but the rest of the house as well. Oh, and also, Matt got this table as a place-holder when I moved out and took the larger table with me. He loves the smaller size, and the $20 price tag, but is still looking for a style he likes better that physically fits the space just like the one he currently has. @fleo Actually, there was no room for a shelved under the window. Not sure if you can tell, but the table is pushed up against the wall because otherwise it wouldn't fit into the space. So people who want to sit on the opposite side have to walk around. Rearranging a Small Dining Room for the Biggest Impact |

Okay, home owner here! :) (Well, apartment renter) I'm not 100% satisfied with the art arrangement, and as someone mentinoed, I personally believe a large piece would work better in this corner. But I've yet to find something that fits the bill as well as our own personal taste. One Living Room Corner — Arranged Two Different Ways |

@atbrunner I store the extra cabinet hardware in the top cabinet in the corner, in an empty coffee can. So I won't forget where it is during the move! As far as the extra door, I store it next to the refrigerator in between the wall and fridge, out of sight, but still in the kitchen so I won't go crazy looking for it when it's time to move out. 5 Quick & Easy Ways to Personalize an Apartment Kitchen |

I wear these hats every day. Obviously only one at a time. :) There's no need to have an occassion to wear a hat. And while most people are surprised to see someone wearing an outfit complete with a hat, they usually make very nice comments and it seems to brighten even their day.
