I agree - I love my immersion blender. It's incredibly useful for making simple shakes (frozen fruit and skim milk), blending up soups, whipping up whipped cream (with the whisk attachment). I use it several times a week. I have a Cuisinart now like recommended but was very happy with my Hamilton Beach (my first immersion blender) for several years.

I'm looking for a good beach speaker. Are there any that stand up to sand better? Or tips for keeping sand out of your speaker? I'm thinking of putting it in a bag but that seems to diminish the audio.

I use the iGo charger for my Droid Charge (bought it at the verizon store). It can charge multiple devices (with a USB connection) and they sell a bunch of tips to fit all types of products and splitters so you can charge 2-4 devices at once. Love that I can charge on the go when I can't plug in too. http://www.igo.com/invt/ps002730001

Adore this. Love the storage built-in and that it uses reclaimed wood.

I've had the classic Alessi for about five years now and it works very well to boil water. It actually was a replacement for a great quality and super cute Michael Graves for Target kettle that my brother melted my falling asleep when he was heating up water (that happens when you're sick).

I love the kitchen set-up - it's such an innovative way to capture more space in a small place. Can't wait for the book!

I love this set of tools. They would be so much better than the shoddy ones I bought when I first got my place years ago. I could really use them for preparing food during the holiday season!

I have the Tupperware ones in pink and use them to bring salads to work. They can be a little tougher to close but the storage is key (just like teawithsteph said) - I live in a NYC apartment and need storage space more than anything so they're perfect for me. Actually heard about them from my sister in law who loves the Tupperware ones too.
