two years ago i was looking for a good vacuum. i had my eyes on the dyson at first, but in all the forums I found myself in there were a lot of people screaming for Miele.
I ended up with one and have been super happy with it. Personally I think canister vacs are the way to go. The size and weight make it easy to whip around the house, which makes me vacuum more than I thought I might. It works so very well that it will suck up small socks and keep going for more.
I mainly use this vacuum on wood floors and to dust everything else with. I only have a couple of rugs that I usually shake outside.
The downside of the Miele is that their website makes it hard to decipher which model has what. At least two years ago it was that way. It seems like you can basically get whatever combo you want. I have the Polaris and love it.

we just installed this product (dark wood plank look - almost black) in our kitchen and laundry room. It took about 12 hours to do with a few breaks for food. I basically did it myself with a few simple tools (utility knife (lots of sharp blades), various sized metal straight edges for cutting, a cutting mat, a 90 degree straight edge) and my wonderful husband to help move our appliances around.
it was extremely easy to install, but tedious when it came to cuts and figuring out seams and how to start in one corner and work towards the other going around various obstructions.
I was careful to install it by the book. I found some additional information online before the install. Stuff that wasn't included in the box.
The floor looks amazing. We chose this product as a temporary solution to lay over a couple of existing old vinyl layers. So we wanted something cheap in price, thin, easy to lay by ourselves, and we hoped it would look decent. It did all those things for us, so we're happy with it so far.

I still enjoy sending real mail and think it's fun to buy unique things. Better than sending real mail, RECEIVING it!
Most likely I'd send the cards to a few close people and email the address change to the rest.

My husband and I lived in a decent apartment, in a crappy building, but in a great neighborhood/area.
We did the best we could in the apartment without spending too much of our time and money on it.
We dealt with the buildings issues for 4 years. That included everything from "thin" walls between our neighbors, bums sleeping in the car port, plumbing back-ups and eventually flooding in our unit, a change in landlords from ok to bad, poorly maintained common areas, etc. At the time it was mostly worth it to us. I think it just depends on what you're willing to put up with and to what end.
We saved our pennies and eventually were able to buy our own house!
Despite the downfalls of the place we had a enjoyable and happy existence, mostly. That may have had more to do with the fact that we lived near the ocean, could ride our bikes to work, and walk to the corner for a cup of coffee and pastry on the weekends.

as a veggie camper family we have a staple.
veggies cooked on the grill in a foil pouch with veggies and seasonings of your choice (i like to use mr. greeks seasoning with some olive oil, but you can go as simple and oil and S&P). when possible I pre-cut the veggies, but.
if you can boil water you can make some minute rice in the bag which is pretty easy.
heat up beans if you have the capacity and desire.
combine the veggies and rice (and/or beans) in a tortilla to eat like a taco or burrito.
there you go, pretty yummy and fairly easy camping meal. possibly more appropriate for car camping.

We had an "adult piñata" at our wedding reception and it was a blast.
As the bride I was having some anxiety issues during the reception. The pinata was brought out and I went at it! I felt so great afterward, we got some fun photos, and the guests had fun scavenging for the loot!

I shared a room with my sister growing up until about the age of junior high because we had to. We fought like crazy when sharing a room, but we also had wonderful times sharing and it's all part of the process of learning to share. "Sharing" is the key word here that I think a lot of people are missing out on. This world would be a better place if we were all better at it.

When we eventually got our own rooms it was quite nice to have our own bit of personal space at an older age, but we still slept in the same room most nights.

I looked at those links, but they look a little different than the one in the photo. I want the one in the photos above, it doesn't look as cheap as the others do.

not using shampoo is a fine idea. in terms of history it's a pretty recent invention.

don't knock it before you try it.

i only shampoo my long hair a couple of times a week. doesn't seem to be an issue and no my hair is not greasy or oily.
