I adore the blue and yellow rooms! And the kitchen table!

My only issue is the grumpy old lady beside me who throws a fit (by banging her oxygen tank against the wall) if I accidentally wake her up from her nap at 2pm on Saturdays. The last time I was vacuuming, the time before that I had 3 small children visiting my apartment. I wouldn't mind so much if she weren't so mean about it... there is no reason to be concerned about noise levels on a Saturday afternoon unless she tells me!

I'm so glad most people who've commented aren't feeling this. Security measures are a pain yes, but I'm not sure that pain merits outright mockery. I feel like the NRA should be ordering these by the 1000s...

Everything is gorgeous but I think the part I love most is the blown up metro map in the guest bathroom. Very very clever!

I take it as a compliment when someone feels comfortable in my home, but I guess it all depends. With my close friends who are over all the time, they have free reign of anything and if they hadn't already opened the wine, I'd be concerned.

I guess I would expect someone to ask permission at least two different times before just making the assumption. Then, I'd appreciate a heads up (Hey I'm gonna open this wine in the fridge or I'm gonna check my email really quick) a few more times. After that, mi casa es su casa!

I personally would bring out the yellow around the room (pillows/curtains) to warm it up subtly. After that, if it feels like it's missing something I'd add in one pop of red or blue with a chair or lamp... or actual fresh roses :)

Hi everyone! I'm ridiculously excited (and nervous!) to actually commit to doing this. Is anyone else working with a studio apartment space? I'm currently in shock over how much "stuff" I have... (stuff: (noun) general description for objects that have no actual purpose in life and cannot be identified as to their value or origin).

Oh also, is anyone cleaning/decluttering/designing that also has a small child in their life? I have a baby sister who draws pictures, makes cards, gives me knick knacks and pays attention to where they are when she visits. Telling her that her drawings are not part of my vision for my apartment is not an option. I was thinking of maybe creating a shadow box that would kinda be hers with her latest school picture, drawing, homemade xmas ornament, etc that I could update everytime I get something new?
