I use it for Ca Ri Ga which is Vietnamese, but has an Indian influence, but not for Indian dishes (not that I'm Indian, I just never come across Indian recipes that call for it). It has some uses in German cuisine, like curry wurst, but most of them are not very good... In Defense of Curry Powder |

My favourite gin is The Botanist (Scottish, I think). There is a shop with a great variety of tonics in my town, but I have to admit I have stuck to Schweppes so far - is it possibly less sweet in Europe? I'm a bit puzzled because you write that refrigeration suspends the fermentation process. In my experience, the fridge is the perfect place to let a yeast dough rise.
