It also looks like this hallway is very orange. Is there maybe a way to have the lighting be more of a plain white? Apartment Therapy New York | NY Good Questions: How Can We Lighten Up the Hallway? |

Doesn't look like it'd be that hard to make, or have someone make. Go to a lumber yard, talk to the folks there about the best kind of wood for such purposes and what tools (nails, etc) you'd need to secure them, and then call a carpenter? I have a Hemnes chest of drawers, and the darn thing is coming apart at the joint between the leg and the body (where the dowels/metal screws are supposed to keep it together) all the way down from the top of the unit. Does anyone know the most effective way to keep the side attached so it doesn't shift and cause all the drawers to fall? I'm not beyond putting some screws into the front leg from the outside in to "clamp" everything in place, but do i need to use particleboard screws or any other special kind of equipment? I've tried wood glue but it doesn't seem to hold! Apartment Therapy - Open Thread 539 |
