I use a jumprope when I travel and incorporate basic movements like sit ups, push ups, squats, etc. into short, interval style workouts. As long as the ceiling in your office is high enough for a jumprope, should work for you! How Do You Work Out at Home? |

I have the Odyssey table from CB2 in white lacquer, which I realize is a far cry from either of these two, but it chipped and scratched quite easily after only a short time... and our family is just my toddler daughter and myself. How Durable Are Lacquered Dining Tables? |

Wow - I have to try Jeni's! But... I worked for years for Amy's Ice Creams in Austin, Texas, and she will ship anywhere in the US. It's expensive due to the dry ice needed to ship. Check out their site at www.amysicecreams.com. They are most famous for a flavor called Mexican Vanilla, but they have local/seasonal (think Fredricksburg Peach) flavors as well as more artisanal flavors like Jalepeno Lemon, Shiner Bock, etc. Can You Recommend a Great Ice Cream Delivery Source? I travel for a week out of every month and have since my daughter was 15 months old (she's now 4 years). For the various fabulous caregivers, my lists and items have been similar to yours with a couple additions... I get one of those greeting cards where you can record your own message and record one for her. She keeps it by her bed and listens to it over and over. Also, when my dad stayed with her, I arranged for a healthy meal delivery service as I didn't want either he or my daughter to subsist on macaroni and cheese and pizza for an entire week. I also leave a calendar of fun things (such as local library story times, park puppet shows, etc.) to do with maps/directions on how to get there. I LOVE this idea! In our neighborhood, we've also done book exchange parties... kids come with a wrapped book and every child leaves with a wrapped book as well. The library in Oak Park, Illinois, just west of downtown Chicago is fabulous. The perfect place to spend snowy afternoons... there is a little cafe in the foyer area and the kids area (practically the entire first floor) has an aquarium, playrooms for the wee ones and dress up materials and crawl tubes for the toddlers. And a wooden "house" and tents for private reading... and computers at kid level... and tons of arts and crafts activities... I could go on and on...
