A similar post, but for a fireplace that is used daily for heating. I just started this and am flummoxed by all the stuff required. I know, I know, Hard hard can it be? But: wood, big kindling, small kindling, paper, ashes, tools, lighter, matches, kettle-all in a small area...

We are not giving material gifts or givng simple, modest gifts. For me, it is by choice - along all the lines expressed above. For my partner, it is by necessity. He is quite unhappy about it, though, and resents it - feels he is being cheap and stingy - but he is just plain old flat broke... Maybe the experience of it all being okay will soften it for him.

I really love nice cards - for all occasions and apparently many people do, because the recipeints often email me (!) to say thanks for sending something so lovely.

Perhaps the paper vs email dividing line is the beauty of the card and personal note?

However, I do get twinges of tree- and energy-guilt.

bepsf: from that other post, did you send in the photo for sheers around the corner (giving the idea of more windows)? Hope you will, would love to see the effect, as I cannot quite envision it, but could use that type of solution in my room. Thanks.

Somewhat disappointed this post was done on Re-Nest. It can be difficult, for sure, but it is necessay look at the entire product lifecycle before accepting a claim that something is "renewable".

reiskid: whoa... I'm in a bit of shock. For two years I lived just 3 blocks away and walked by each day to work. Too much to see it described as a HOUSE.

This lead photo is from Gourmet magazine - a holiday buffet. In addition to looking great, thanks to Robyn, it tastes great. I have made it four times to raves each time. I have mimicked her style, too, as much as possible. This particular photo shoot is so striking, I see it many places.

Hmm, I have a friend who labels everything, too. For my taste, it is too ocd. If I am the one who uses my office, why does everything need a label? Kitchens don't require labeling, so why do offices?

Great colors, pattern and texture in her space.

Sorry if you covered this already somewhere.

How are you using Craig's List efficiently? I am pretty good on search engines but the amount of stuff at CL is overwhelming and so much is junk. Any particular hints? Or is just grinding through?
thanks

I want the NYT to stay around and be viable. In our democracy we need them.

They need to protect their work to stay in business, just as you do. They are within their rights.

I am just as loyal to you. When another site starts taking advantage of AT, I will support you putting a stop to it.
