i would suggest using it as a picture book holder, leaning against (and attached to) the wall so it doesn't get pulled over by a little bookworm :)

I would use chalkboard paint on that, and coloured chalk markers to change the picture, maybe? Then you could switch it up each season, holiday, whenever the mood struck :) Thanks for the great brainstorm-starter!

I love the idea, but I'm not crazy about storing books in it. I'm very picky about how my books are treated, so this would drive me a bit crazy :)
However, I think it would be fantastic in a play room or kids room for toy storage on the lower shelves, and knick-knacks/keepsakes on the higher ones!
