Yes! But the shipping is outrageous! $19.99 for shipping on an order that totals $4.95? It's just not worth it. ...and I was so excited about this at first! :(

Is the wall color lavender? It looks exactly like the color I've been trying to find for my walls. Can you tell the info on the paint/wall color please?

How timely! I just signed a lease on a new apt with ZERO kitchen cabinets (it has other positives though!) so open shelving seems like a reality for me. As far as storing glassware on open shelves, is it too cluttery to attach hanging under-shelf wine glass racks to a shelf with drinking glasses above?

I read once on apartmenttherapy about cleaning inside hard-to-reach bud vases or glass bottles with small necks by crushing egg shells and swishing them with some soapy water. It really works!

Oh! I have that exact tiny dishrack. I got it at Bed Bath & Beyond about 5 years ago. Not sure if they still have it. I will say that I love it and have never found another quite so small as to fit in my itty bitty kitchen.

How timely! Over the weekend I finally was able to hang a custom mirror I had made. It was much heavier than I thought it would be, but little old me managed to get that 30 lb. mirror hung on Friday by myself, and so far, it's still on the wall! :) I stuck some heavy-duty velcro strips to the back and to the wall to help me hold it in place while I tightened the screws and bolts of the hardware.

I agree adamwa! Trying to save that best thing for last just ensures that I'll never get to have it at all. Someone is sure to swipe it from me by then. You gotta get while the gettin's good! Sieze the opportunity!

A friend of mine just blogged about making homemade pudding and how easy it really is! I can vouch that it was certainly delicious since I got to sample one of the extras!

I'm searching for a tray to corral my dish soap and lotion bottle near the kitchen sink, but I need something very thin to fit. The space next to the sink is only about the width of the bottles- maybe 3 or 4 inches. Does anyone have a good lead for a skinny, long tray?

Fantastic idea. So now, where do I get one of those great rolls of brown butcher paper? I feel like I would use it for everything if I could just get my hands on some...

Yes! stolichnaya, I always use that Martha recipe with the peas and zucchini! It always turns out well, and although she calls it a "spring" risotto, I think it's all-season! I always throw in twice the veggies to make it heartier and more colorful, and I garnish with a sprinkle of green onions on top.

Yes! I starting getting a hankering for whale prints after someone sponsored a whale for me as a gift a couple years ago. I love those pillows.

How spoiled would I be with a Dyson??! I drool over this machine, and yet it seems so far out of my budget to actually own one. Here's throwing my hat in the ring...

I am terrified of the broiler. Mine is a scary drawer-looking thing underneath the oven. It has strange racks and pieces that I don't know how to operate. The last thing I want is to burn down my apartment by putting something in there that i can't get out. It was just replaced by my super a couple years ago, so it's new, but I'm sure it is a very cheap model. I just don't trust it.

I just bought some cherries (conventional cherries) for $2.99/lb on Sunday at Whole Foods which is cheaper than the $3.99-$5.99 per lb I've been seeing at Fairway recently. I try to only buy their sale items at WF when I go, or there are usually decent prices on their 360 brand cereals and crackers. I can get the rest of my groceries at other shops for cheaper. But I tend to just pick up a few things at a time throughout the week anyway.

Yes. I very rarely use my corded landline phone, but I wouldn't dream of getting rid of it. For landlines, a corded phone doesn't drain power like a cordless phone would that is constantly charging. It's minimal, but it all adds up!

I like a loud fan, as long as it's not a rattle. I use a fan for the white noise to fall asleep and keep me asleep in my noisy neighborhood. It has to be loud enough to drown out those garbage trucks outside my window. *Love* that Vintage Vornado.
