Green Geek. You haven't spent much time in AZ have you? First off the only way to get some serious heavy duty insulation is to build your home mostly underground. There are a few people who do that and since you have only clerestory windows not a lot comes in or escapes. However, Phoenix has ridiculously hard soil so it is pretty tough to make it pay for itself. That's why we don't have basements. Also because we don't have snow most of the rooves here are fairly which means there aren't a whole lot of attics here. Why You Might Want to Leave the A/C On During Vacation |

I live in Phoenix, AZ. It was 99 degrees outside at 11 o'clock last night. I run fans, ceiling fans, the AC, and take around 4 cool showers a day. Putting 3 Fans To The Test: Ceiling, Window, and Drum The New York Times |

I've been eying the dell venue pro for a while now. I've been thinking it's the way I'll be headed next. I've used one for a few days and found it it all around a great phone and great OS. A Case of Thinking Different: Windows Phone 7 |

The best solution I have found was to cut the "L" portion off of an allen wrench and and stick it in the drill just as you would a regular bit. When I was in high school I worked for one of those raw unfinished wood furniture stores where we essentially saw no customers and just assembled furniture all day. I was looking at my girlfriend's sub and floor speakers the other day wondering how much trouble I would get in for painting those giant black boxes. I decided it was probably more trouble than I am willing to accept. Reviving the Subwoofer with a Paint Job |

So here would be my solution. A small htpc mounted to easel and cut the cable cord all together. Stream everything from the media server that sits hidden away. One cord from the small htpc to the tv and one cord for power. You could also mount a sound bar under the TV so it doesn't sound like crap. A Television In The Bedroom… On An Easel! The one thing I will say in defense of thee higher end HDMI cables is that they seem to have a lower fail rate. However, instead of buying one expensive HDMI, I buy 3 or 4 less expensive ones for the same total price. Plus it's always nice to have extra HDMI cables for when you unexpectedly pick up the new toy. The HDMI Cable Scam |
