I've been planning for May 15 as the Chicago frost free date. I think years ago it used to be April 15, but due to inclimate weather over the years, its been pushed forward. I completely agree with Christine's comments on enjoying black in the morning, and greens / herbal in the evening. I enjoy a strong cup of Mariage Freres in the morning (Love Pleine Lune) and if I'm going out in the evening, I'll have a cup of green tea to keep me going. If it looks like a relaxing evening with an early bed-time I'll have a cup of ginger tea (Yogi tea makes a good one, or Traditional Medicinals) which soothes my tummy and tastes delicious. During our long Chicago winters, I make a nice big pot of soup every Sunday afternoon. The pot makes for a nice, relaxed Sunday dinner, and then keeps me in healthy, quick lunches at work all week!
