Alternatively, you could balance the art on one side with a mirror/wall shelf combo on the other, since space doesn't allow for furniture.

Does Art Around Window Need To Be Symmetrical? Good Questions

I kind of disagree- while I do value symmetry and the reflected light mirrors would add, it looks to me like your space doesn't have many other available walls for art. In my opinion, it would be best to balance the "visual weight" of art on either side and add an attractive pendant light. To me, while mirrors are great in small spaces, it seems to me that you would lose a chance to showcase your art and add some personality. Also, it looks like you already have great natural light! I agree that raising the curtains would help significantly.

I love how you've repurposed other people's castaways- your space is both resourceful and artistic! I really like the unconventional elements- the plant wall, living area wall of found objects, and storage that isn't entirely hidden away. Your home feels fluid and adaptable. Very nice!

I am in love with this house! When can I move in?? All the plants are wonderful. Great idea to "age" the wood ceiling- looking through the pictures I assumed it was actually old. Beautiful!

You've definitely achieved cohesiveness! Love the loungy-ness of it all. Like some of the others, not so sure about all the glass in the house with a soon-to-be toddler, particularly the shelves in the nursery. Overall, a very sophisticated space, thanks for sharing!

@Malinainparis- really? I've always been able to hang art in rentals- as long as I don't use super huge nails and I spackle upon moving (I've been known to use a little white toothpaste to fill in holes too; bonus- the place smells minty fresh!).

Love the bold paint choices. They really work well with the old architectural elements. I noticed that there weren't many light sources (maybe only one lamp in the office)- something other than overhead lighting might make the place a bit cozier in my opinion. Otherwise, great house tour!
