our is "hello, ladies."

i haven't heard anyone talking about it, but it makes me giggle whenever i have to change our settings.

I use a thrifted dresser in our entryway.
I put a yankee candle wax melt(wrapped, of course) in each drawer to keep the stink away, and keep the drawer bottoms lined with non-slip, and voila!

urban outfitters has a really gorgeous round feather print rug that i'm considering buying for our living room. everything we own is really hard and angular, and i think it would really help to soften up the look a bit. i love round rugs.

neither, but especially like lagerfeld's less. being rather fond of books, it always annoys me to see them stored in a way that shows they are obviously never read.

either way, neither of them have very good taste. ick.

for me, i just think ikea stuff looks nice, and i can afford it. being a twenty year old with a semi-stable seasonal job, and not-so-stable winter jobs, i have to go with things that suit my needs and look passable. my only other options are target and walmart furniture, and everything i like from there is always more expensive than at ikea. i'm not embarrassed that i own a lot of ikea pieces, i'm pretty fond of them.

as for them all looking stale and out-of-the-big-box, i work to customize them so they don't. i have an 8 cube expedit shelf under my television, and i've been considering making a set of curtains to go over the cubes, just to disguise it a bit.

i know in the future, as i get my life more established, and i move out of this apartment, i'll probably phase out the ikea, but for now, and for where i am, it works just fine.

yes, but we have to re-paint with the exact color they use. and it's special order only, so we have to order it through the office.

man, people here really love criticism.
i think it's a good idea, especially if you have kids or someone comes over to help with cleaning when you're sick.

i like it.

i use a cabinet with a glass door above the toilet, and in it, i keep my cotton balls, q-tips and other essentials in pretty jars so that they look a little fancier than they really are.

for guests, i use a little rectangular basket that i keep on hand, and stock it with everything they should need for a shower, then i place it on the back of the toilet in easy reach. it looks nice, and nobody goes rooting through my things!
