What a sweet chair! I'd put it in the reading corner of my son's room. The rocking chair that's there right now isn't very cuddly.

I completely understand the thinking behind the "I'll let my child __________ if it means I have time to take a shower, etc." However, when such a strong case has been made against TV before 2, I can't in good conscience sit my son in front of the television. I would rather stick him in his crib with some toys or gate him in his room so that I can have a minute to accomplish whatever it is I need to do. Why do those solutions seem "worse" than TV? There is no reason the TV should be more entertaining than anything else to a 2 year-old.

It's a tough call between "peas and carrots" and "rodeo," but i think rodeo prevails!

We went with Fuzzi Buns (along with a handful of other couples we know) after debating over GDiapers for awhile. I think GDiapers are the second-best option next to cloth (which don't produce any waste). True, cloth diapers use water resources to wash, but it's extremely minimal (our monthly bill hasn't changed at all). Plus, we use a clothesline in the warmer months. I highly recommend Fuzzis.

Personally, I think this is a bit overboard in regard to sun protection. You can't always cover your kids from head-to-toe to protect them from every ray of sunshine. I posted photos of the handmade shade I sewed for my newborn's stroller at my blog: http://laziestjane.blogspot.com/

It keeps the sun out (while still allowing him movement within the stroller) for the really bright days.
