I would argue the need for a mobile. Not that you need a big fancy mobile, but it does help with baby's brain development and stimulation. There are tons of ways to make your own, from hanging colored origami, to sewing little stuffed birds. But with it being so inexpensive (not to mention cute) it's worth the couple dollars to give baby that little extra stimulation. all windows open when the weather is nice, and on nice summer evenings my husband and I (since we absolutley love our neighborhood and it's really safe) we put up a tension rod in the doorway and sit in the living room or just on the porch and let the nice air really get into our house, the extra light from having the door open during the day through the sheer curtain is also amazing. I was feeling the tiffany blue-esque vibe when i saw this too, but like what has been said...it'd clash with your pillows. you could always paint it a similiar color blue as is what is on your pillows but with a gloss to it...I think it'd pop and be modern looking..but at the same time right now it has a sort of old world antiquey feel to it that i really like with the muted blue. I, along with every other one of my friends, would be too tempted to touch it just a smidgen and it would gradually crumble away. Other than that I like it a lot! THis is so pretty and I'm so thankful for the tape idea! I've been measuring, pencilling and leveling a grid out on my poor wall to hang a symmetrical frame grouping and it's been a hassle! I do like the organized look of them but I could also see appreciating them in the form of that coffee filter installation post...you know what I'm talking about.
