Thanks, Jackie! I would definitely be up for a full house tour. You can see more pics of my home on my web site and blog, http://wannaredo.com.

Thanks to you too, Heela! You know what, my fern did the same thing! I moved it up on the nook shelf and only neglected it for a few days and same thing, totally dried up. I should have left it on the counter where it wasn't as bright, because I know that factored in too. I was SOOO sad. Ferns can be very picky, especially Maidenhair (the one I had), but then I have another one in my house that grows like crazy and can stand to be left alone a little longer. Ferns and succulents are my favorite types of plants to have around, but like you said, the latter are much easier to keep!

Tiles are Mannington VCT, faucet is Price Pfister. Here's the whole cookie recipe (in case you want to cut and paste):

Grandma Jeanne's Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 cup soft shortening (I use unsalted butter)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. Stir in oatmeal and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 12-13 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.

ENJOY! :)

Thanks, Luluso! I kept all the original cabinets (just refaced the doors), and there wasn't a dishwasher to begin with (see before pic). It just seemed like the most logical spot, because we could just remove the doors and cut the hole for dishwasher. It hasn't been a problem at all, as it's easily in reach from the sink.

I got the "Dang!" glass in Iowa (where I'm from) several years ago. It's a brand of Root Beer, so you might try searching for it online.

Hi 22! What a compliment!! Thank you!

The cabinets are all painted in Old Prairie. It's actually just one shade lighter than Camouflage, so yes, there's definitely some green in it. The sunlight can make it look lighter at times. Hope that helps! :)

Thanks, Diane! The banquette pillow fabrics are Skimmer Aqua by Thomaspaul for Duralee and Soiree Leaf from Calico Corners. The French press is the Bodum Iced Coffee Press. I got mine at a local kitchen store, but you can get them at Crate & Barrel and online, too.

Thanks everyone, especially Leela!! The kitchen towel on the oven is from makelike here in Portland and the others you see are from my shop. The cream carton I found at Michaels for $1! I've seen similar ones at Crate & Barrel too. The faucet is Price Pfister.

I used to live on Belmont and loved it. I'm just north about a mile now, so I'm not far, but don't get down there as much as I'd like. If you check out the food carts on 42nd and Belmont, visit Movie Madness, a great rental shop right next to them.

I've had black paperstone counters for a couple months, and so far I love them. They do show marks, but like makehappymama said, you just buff them out. I ended up getting a great deal on some remnants of it, so it wasn't too expensive either.

I use this egg substitute in pancakes and they come out great! It's amazing how egg-like the mixture of ground flax/water ends up being.
