Is there something that makes this better than a regular booster seat? The review doesn't really give any color...why would you buy this rather than the regular booster you presumably had to buy b/c of the options? We've used the Fischer Price booster since my daughter was old enough to use one so I'm just curious...was it design aesthetic, comfy-ness, usability, etc.? Keekaroo Cafe Booster Family Find |

Faith, I just made a quick semolina dosa the other afternoon. It was really easy, and I didn't use my dosa pan for it - just a regular nonstick skillet. Mix 1 cup semolina flour, 1 cup rice flour and 1/4 cup all purpose flour with enough water to make a loose batter. It should be thinner than pancake batter. Add a tadka of mustard seeds, green chilies and curry leaves (optional). Add a healthy pinch of salt. Heat the skillet to medium heat, drizzle with olive oil and then pour the batter quickly from a few inches above the pan. Do not spread the batter - it should spread naturally when you pour it. Cook until golden then flip and cook for a few seconds. To Go With Soup: 7 Quicker Flatbreads Recipe Roundup |

Indian food might be a great solution. For example, you could make a batch of makhani sauce then put pan fried paneer (or tofu) in it for you and chicken in it for your husband. The same could be done with spinach - tofu, paneer, potatoes or chickpeas for you and meat for him. A lot of my favorite Indian curry sauces are actually from the meat section of Suvir Saran's Indian Home Cooking. I've just modified them for a vegetarian component. I recently froze a large batch of tomatoes from my parents garden. I've only used a few so far for a batch of Paneer Makhani and it turned out terrific...according to my husband, one of my best ever. The Easiest Way to Preserve Tomatoes: Freeze Them! |

I am loving your posts today! I make my daughter - most recently summer squash, zucchini and gruyere and also avocado, cheddar cheese and black pepper. Then we (b/c I steal a few) put them on a toasted english muffing with a slice of cheese for an easy sandwich. Breakfast Leftovers for Lunch: The Frittata Sandwich |

Love this post! I just started a new site yesterday for kids food (www.halfpintgourmet.com) and we did a review of a product similar to the Leaning Tower. I've been using a chair for my 20 month old to stand on but it feels really unsafe (@ Apron Strings - I suspect some kids are sturdier v clumsier than others...my daughter takes after mommy and seems to be a little unsteady) so am planning to order the tower. 4 Fun Accessories for Kids in the Kitchen |

Not sure if your hate for leftovers means you are looking for fresh recipes only, but I often make lentils (Indian dal style) and then have it with rice and a dollop of yogurt. Delicious. Big fan. I've been using it in paneer makhani for added creaminess that's healthier than heavy cream. Or so I'm assuming until someone tells me otherwise. Almond Butter with Roasted Flax Seeds from Trader Joe's Daily Find |

I was inspired by Faith's Grilled Figs and just made the perfect salad for the heat we've been having in NY. I dipped the halved figs in heated honey then grilled them and served with baby arugula, goat cheese and a homemade dressing of jalapenos, mustard, olive oil and sea salt with the remaining honey mixed in...sweet and spicy and very light and fresh.
