Hm, what about memory foam/foam pillows? I recently bought two new ones from ikea and I haven't thought about how to clean them yet. Washing is out, right? and I would be scared that the heat from the dryer could melt the foam maybe?

I have protective covers on them now but I'm not sure how far that will stretch having to actually clean them somehow.

That looks so lovely. I'll have to try out this recipe, my granola never comes out right. Anyone know the source for the coffee mug and the french press? They are beautiful.

I'm not sure the sq ftage is accurate. I live in a 170sq ft apartment and its WAY smaller than that. I mean yea, it's small, but I'm not sure it's THAT small..

But it is cool, some choices are puzzling like the reading area, but on the whole it's a pretty cool use of space.

But you don't really dream in your deepest sleep, dreaming is actually closer to waking to maybe it was actually not that far off?

I'm really curious as to what bouquet of chemicals it takes to "paint" something gold. Can't be very good for you.

I have unsealed painted/stained concrete as my shower, any cleaning suggestions for that? I'm scared to rub off the color thats staining it but it needs a good cleaning badly. Thanks!

Oh and the lemon half borax tip is great! Love the whole post.

You guys need to relax. No one said these pieces were "disposable". The article is just saying that the bathroom is maybe not the best place to hand your Monet. These pieces are actually right in my price range, I want to some nice art for the bathroom but I have a small budget. Not like I'm going to buy them in bulk and go through them like socks. Sometimes "affordable" really means, "affordable".

Similar to the Ikea ones, you could repurpose the bottles from sparkling french lemonade.

I agree this looks amazing, but how is this renter friendly? It's fine if you plan on living there for a while and don't care about not getting your deposit back, but I'm pretty sure this counts as a permanent change to the look of the apartment.

I mean what happens when you move out? It's not like it just peels off or something. My landlord would flip a s#!*

Can we see something on here that is actually renter friendly? Something besides temporary wallpaper?

This is cute. Great idea for an entryway. on a related note, does anyone know how to get that foam tape off your walls? That's the only reason I wouldn't do this, because it leaves behind a sticky residue that just won't come off.

I hope this is meant ironically.

As a statement about society perhaps. "Our chronic consumerism that drives us to satisfy the smallest of discomforts until we are passively, perfectly, existing and there is no longer any difficulty or struggle in our lives."

Or maybe I'm just hoping that's what this is because it's so effing ridiculous.

I love this idea! An window seat always seemed like such a luxury that I never considered it could be this simple!

*And Ikea says that this particular unit can be used as a shelf or a bench, so I'd imagine it's pretty sturdy....
