Best money I have ever spent on a kids item! Can not say enough about how much I love my double chariot and how much I use it. I have every accessory except the skies. My 5 year old who is as tall as some seven year olds can still ride in it. I actually have my 6 month old in it with the baby supporter, my 2 1/2 year old in the other seat, and when my 5 year old needs a break from walking he sits on the floor of it in front of the baby and shares foot space with the 2 year old. ARobin I was totally in your line of thinking before I had kids. My babies all were major spitter-up-ers. A few changes of clothes and tons of burp cloths were a must. Then I had more kids and had to make sure I had sippie cups and snacks, extra underware for the toddler, and a water bottle for myself. An Affordable Boxy Diaper Bag for a Petite Mom Good Questions |

I tried many cheaper bags and was disappointed every time. I would get a nice leather larger purse and milk would spill out of the "leak proof" sippie cup and it was ruined. Smashed goldfish and cherios are great too. And I hated everything mixed together in one compartment, I could never find my wallet and phone. I finally with baby no. 3 bought an oioi on babysteals.com. All leather, looks like a purse, but is wipe-able on inside and has tons of pockets. I think I spent $75 which is more than I wanted to spend, but worth it in the end. Good luck! An Affordable Boxy Diaper Bag for a Petite Mom Good Questions |

I have used the First Years Close and Secure Baby Sleeper for my last two kids and loved it. Works great in a king. It is low enough I can reach over and grab baby out for feedings and narrow enough I can still lay down to nurse with it in the bed between us. My first baby was in a bassinet right beside me and I hated it. I like them right next to me, so much easier. All three of my kids were in bed with us - one month, four months, and three months. They all left our bed with no problems and sleep through the night just fine when they were in their own bed. Have You Used a Baby Travel Bed In Your Bed? Good Questions |

I have lived in big cities and small towns. You could not pay me enough to move back to the city. Small town of 3500, my commute to work in the city is 25 minutes through beautiful farmland. Drove longer than that in annoying stop and go traffic in the city. Kids can play in the neighborhood unsupervised for the most part and bike to school. I know bad things can happen anywhere, but I sure don't miss turning on the news and constantly hearing about this stabbing or this hit and run in the city. I feel much safer in my town. Just because they aren't in the city they aren't becoming spoiled brats as lucybrown64 suggests. They learn to use their imaginations and don't need to be constantly entertained by some event in the city. But they can have the culture of the city with a short drive. Call me eccentric, but I love my 1700 square foot home and huge backyard that we designed and built ourselves, another perk of small town life. But hey, to each his own. Glad to many of you love the city so my town can stay nice and small! The City or the Suburbs? The New York Times | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

I live in Canada and don't have to worry about moths, so I am no help there. But I have used plastic bins for my baby clothes, and my maternity clothes too. I tried the rubbermade brand and they made the clothes smell, even with ceder blocks. I use the Sterilite brand and they work great. No ceder needed. No smell. I used a glider for my first child and hated it. It arms were too high and the seat was too deep for me, I needed a pillow behind my back to be comfortable. And he didn't like the back and forth motion, he liked side to side. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Good Questions: Turning a Chair Into a Rocker? |
