I love this so much. The bright primary colors, the shelving in the kitchen, that gorgeous bed. A real stand out in this division, well done.

I have a simple wooden desk that belonged to my father as a boy. I'm short and many, many desks are just too tall or otherwise oversized for me.

A little Dorothy Gale, a little Rene Magritte. I like them.

It seems normal to me. Not like a 'statement' or anything, just normal. I grew up in a house with major book overflow, so books ended up in every nook and cranny. In grad school, any of my friends who had non-working fireplaces had their extra books stored there too.

I don't have a fireplace, but if I did, my books would be in it.

Do. Or rather, anything, anything but bright white. In gray Cleveland, where I would never dare paint the walls white, white on the ceiling gives birth to all sorts of gray shadows and dark corners. It's like having a cloudy sky overhead to match the one outside.

I hate to agree, because I love the content, but the re-design is much too busy. Sidebars -everywhere- and then ribbons on top of it all?

I like mint all right, better to wear than on the walls. I have dark skin with yellow undertones and I find it very flattering.

Getting back to design, green is my favorite color. I really want to paint my bedroom a dark shade but it gets only middling light and I worry I'd turn it into a cave.

For me, all subway tile summons up memories of my old school gym and cafeteria (especially when done with dark grout.) I honestly cannot figure out what the fuss is all about.

Dark without being dreary, earthy, elemental. When the space is large like this, I appreciate this kind of dark, discrete design.

Tempur-pedics seem to be the choice for people with my disorder (where rolling over in bed can cause a shoulder or hip to partially or fully dislocate.) But like you, I dislike memory foam and all the heat it retains.

For that reason, the next mattress I buy will probably be one with plenty of natural materials.

If I don't blow dry my hair, it'll be wet from the time I wash it in the morning, till the time I go to bed at night. And it's not even long; it's just that thick and curly.

Um, I'll take her sheets and her bed if she's done with them.

I prefer the before as well, but I think of the bedroom as the most personal room in the house in more ways than one. It's no place to be goofing around with popular trends that you don't actually like the look of.
