This is not a source...instead it is a tip. If you plan on purchasing large amounts of paint, your local paint store may allow you to open an account (not a credit card account or the like...just a store account for their records) as a "contractor" which will give you a discount on every purchase you make. Mine did. They even suggested it when they noticed I was buying a lot of paint. It is at least worth inquiring about. I use the flylady system - and it rocks! By staying on top of things, I am free to spend only a few minutes a day instead of those "all-day-cleaning-marthons" of the past that ate up my precious free time on the weekend. To get ready for company, I simply swipe a few surfaces, put on some coffee and relax knowing my house is ready to go. I especially suggest it for anyone trying to sell a house. It forces you to keep your home picked up, organized and clean. Then you can say "no problem" when your realtor asks for that last-minute showing. I also pick up before my gal comes to clean, and move things off of my dresser tops and shelves so that she can dust. Yes, take some shots of interesting corners or accessories...but please, keep that to a minimum. It seems as if vignettes are all we are being shown lately. I LOVE the idea of photographing your grandfather's hands. Do you mind if I steal the concept? My grandparents are 96 & 95. Take a piece of string, a small pin or nail and a sharp pencil. Tie one end of the string to the pencil and the other end to the top of the pin or the nail. Put the nail/pin into the wall, and pull the string tight at different lengths to make random large/small/medium circles. Have some of the circle intersect. Have some of the circles partials where the brown paint meets the ceiling or one of the khaki walls. Then, using a fine paint brush and some red paint, go over the drawn circles...loosely - so that the circles look "sketched." Instant "wallpaper."
