I love this! Definitely going to steal some ideas from this for our study (thankfully we have a separate place to sleep.) I'm trying to do something somewhat similar but with three stations - the other station is for drawing by the window with an angled desk. I'm not the builder in the house, but we're thinking of cutting into an old ikea desk to make a light box portion and an angled drawing portion. I'm glad that you have a place to entertain, it seems like the only place where your eyes can rest, well, when the projector is not on. Thanks for the giggle, Hayden. According to the link, "...faux-bamboo twin beds that were found at the Armenia Church Auction. They were also made in 1888 (the same year the house was built)." That table is from IKEA. It's the Micke. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60180036 There were A LOT of them in the returned section (as is) when I last went to IKEA. So it may be good for a bill-paying, light work desk, not a heavy duty work desk. The table tops were all broken. It is gorgeous though... I may use it as a vanity when I reorganize my bedroom. after you click on "go to house tour," click on thumbnails and use the thumbnails to go back and forth or... what i ended up doing was going to the thumbnails and just clicking "back" that worked smoothly for me. and on to the house-- my favorite space is the bedroom. i love the blues, grays-- it's a very sweet space and then those striped curtains are so bold and sharpen the whole place up. perfection! I like the fabrics that ChloeSF & La Vesigondine linked to a lot-- it seems subtle enough to have the effect you are going for but not too disruptive with the tufts.
