loved this renovation, clean, modern design mixed with rustic and traditional elements........fabulous......please, please, please fight off any urge to turn your home into one of those "perfect" Brooklyn brownstones with big 6 figure renovations and lots of designer furniture....you know the one(s) that keep turning up on all the blogs....and shelter pubs...........this is one of the best posts in a very long time.....

Real life or photo op? Cute room, great colors, but, do not try this at home. From my personal experience growing up sleeping on bunk beds, I would never recommend a room design (in particular the chalk board) that tempts a child to stand on the top bunk...

The cure continues to motivate me. I started my summer clean up early, usually I start working around the house memorial day weekend this year I hope to have everything done by memorial day..........a big improvement...

this apartment reminds me of a consignment shop.....beautiful, fun things put together without any particular sense of design or focus...

The re-design of the new kitchen was well thought out and improved not only the look but the utility of the space. I would have added a panel to the front of the dishwasher that matched the cabinets, this trick instantly expands the space..

If this person did in fact receive help from his father who is a contractor that should have been disclosed in your post. It is misleading to position this as a diy job that only cost $1000 when dad may have provided access to contractor's discounts, a wet saw and advice that translates to more then $1000....

I have also cooked salmon this way, it is delicious. I am going to try these potatoes tomorrow night, I can't wait!!

My 7 year old nephew loves to cook, he is a big fan of the Food Network, he really likes Paula Dean and Rachel Ray. For Christmas I gave him the Silver Spoon Cookbook, it was a big hit. Everyday of his Christmas holiday he would open his book pick something out and make it with my sister, he is still using it.

Over the years I have cooked with a number of my nieces and nephews (I have 13), it is a fun way to spend time with them, and it gives me the opportunity to pass along family recipes and to share family stories and to also find out what is happening in their lives...

Your new office is great, love the look and the windows. Moving can be a difficult chore, but the positive energy you get from the change of scenery is usually worth all the effort.

I am overseeing the move into our new office space downtown overlooking Broadway....We are all routing for the Jets to win the Superbowl as we are planning a big office party to watch the ticker tape parade if they do....
